Founder & President
John Zang
John is the visionary founder and president of XDL Machinery. With over 30 years of experience in the international trading of machinery and its components, he has been instrumental in the company's success. In 2010, John led the company to establish strong business relationships with major Japanese manufacturers and trading companies, including Mitsubishi Heavy Industry, Itochu, Hitachi Construction Machinery, and Komatsu. His leadership and deep industry knowledge have been fundamental to XDL Machinery's growth and reputation.
Outside of his professional life, he is a passionate fan of Tai Chi, which he practices regularly. His practice is deeply influenced by the Zen spirit, embracing mindfulness, balance, and discipline
General Manager
David Zang
David holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Toronto. He started his career as a Requirement Analyst at IBM before joining XDL Machinery in 2010, where he has played a critical role in driving major projects.
Promoted to General Manager in 2017, David’s meticulous leadership ensures XDL Machinery consistently exceeds client expectations. He has been instrumental in expanding the company’s presence in the European and American markets since 2015, particularly in the solar energy, motor, and automotive maintenance sectors, building strong, long-term customer relationships.
David’s commitment to excellence and innovation has been key to the company’s growth and reputation for reliability. He continues to lead with a focus on high-quality standards and fostering long-term partnerships.
Outside of work, David is passionate about beer homebrewing. The process of flavor calibration and fermentation enhances his understanding of quality, artistry, and craftsmanship, which he applies to every project at work.
Decai Zou
Decai manages day-to-day operations at XDL Machinery, ensuring efficiency and quality across all departments. With over 30 years of experience in manufacturing and quality control, Decai guarantees that products meet customer expectations while working proactively with suppliers to prevent quality issues. His deep industry knowledge and extensive connections have expanded the company’s supplier resources, providing more diverse and reliable options.
Decai’s expertise in casting, machining, and manufacturing processes is a vital asset to the company, strengthening our capabilities in these critical areas.
In his leisure time, Decai is a passionate music enthusiast and photographer.
Operations Director
Helen Wang
Helen joined XDL Machinery in 2013, bringing over two decades of experience in international trade. With more than 10 years of experience working in a Japanese company, she is fluent in Japanese and leads our projects across Asia. Helen is highly detail-oriented and responsive, always thinking from the customer’s perspective. She manages everything from customer inquiries to the timely delivery of high-quality finished products. Her meticulous and rigorous approach to work has earned her high praise from both customers and suppliers.
Away from the office, Helen is a passionate cat lover, deeply devoted to her feline friends.

Michael Dai
Michael graduated from Dalian University of Technology in 2004 with a double degree in Electronic Engineering and Finance. Known for his critical thinking and pragmatic approach, Michael ensures tasks are completed efficiently and effectively, always "delivering the message to Garcia." His passion for new technologies and innovation, combined with his ability to analyze complex situations and make informed decisions, guarantees that our services consistently exceed client expectations.
In his leisure time, Michael enjoys playing and coaching soccer with his son and his friends.
Quality Assurance Engineer
Jack Liang
Jack joined XDL Machinery in 2022 as a QA specialist. With over eight years of experience at Intel Dalian, he has honed his expertise in overseeing rigorous quality standards and processes. Jack is highly proficient with the ISO quality management system and skilled in utilizing a variety of inspection tools. His deep understanding of quality assurance practices ensures that XDL Machinery consistently meets and exceeds the meticulous standards our clients expect.
Outside of work, Jack is a passionate football fan, dedicated to supporting his local team.
Jun Shan
Jun has led XDL Machinery’s financial operations since 2010, bringing 30 years of expertise in finance and auditing. Her deep understanding of fundraising, banking systems, and international payment frameworks strengthens our financial strategies. Jun’s meticulous attention to detail ensures the integrity and robustness of our financial operations, supporting the company’s growth and stability.
Jun is passionate about gastronomy and travel, enjoying the exploration of diverse cultures and cuisines.
Finance Director
Jie Li
Jie has been a cornerstone of XDL Machinery’s administration since 2013. With 20 years of prior experience in logistics coordination, Jie now oversees critical tasks such as shipping and container loading, ensuring smooth operations. Known for his meticulous attention to detail and helpful nature, he fosters collaboration across teams and brings a cheerful atmosphere to the workplace with his enthusiasm and humor.
When he's not at work, Jie is also passionate about traditional Chinese arts, including calligraphy and painting.
Office Manager

Jerry Chen
Jerry graduated from Harbin Engineering University with a Master of Engineering degree in Mechanical Manufacturing and Automation. He is fluent in Japanese and English. Jerry initially honed his skills at a renowned electric furnace manufacturing company in Japan, where he was engaged in the design of ferroalloy ore thermal furnaces, metallurgical equipment, environmental protection equipment, and industrial furnaces. He joined the XDL Machinery team in 2017 as a procurement and technical consultant. Currently, he also serves as the Vice General Manager at a steel mill in Hebei, specializing in the procurement of electric furnace equipment.
Jerry's passion for his work is matched by his love for sports and football, which he enjoys in his leisure time.
